- Supporting the creation and execution of the vertical's growth strategy (including business development, sales and marketing) for Toll Managed Services within Government & Defence .
- Providing market intelligence on customers, competitors and significant factors affecting markets to influence short and long-term business objectives, opportunities and to support decision making.
- Supporting the General Manager to drive growth in a focussed and targeted manner to achieve the business goals, including Revenue and Gross Margin.
- Determining and put forward opportunities for Growth, including working closely with the G&D Bids & Growth Solutions Team as the Managed Services business lead on opportunities identified for GATE 0/1 Go/No Go decisions.
- Acting as the lead conduit between the business and the Bids team on relevant Tender submissions.
- Leading solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while co-ordinating the involvement of all necessary Toll stakeholders.
- Driving cross-business standards and opportunities, promoting excellence in end-to-end service and leverage Toll's capability in the market wherever possible.
- Support Account Managers/business managers with the relationship with the customer, including attending Transition In/Contract meetings where appropriate.
- 7+ years experience in a sales position, preferably in the transport, warehousing or supply chain industries.
- Strong understanding of business development, including management of major bids and contracts.
- Good working knowledge of sales force operations and sales processes for contracting business.
- Experience selling services instead of product based selling highly regarded.
- Global Mobility/Relocation Services exposure and experience – highly beneficial.
- Curious mindset with alignment to Toll's "Curiosity In Motion" statement.
- Naturally conversational with ability to build trusted relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Job Description
Toll Group are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support our Managed Services vertical, including Relocation Services, 4th Party Logistics, Supply Chain Solutions and Case Management Services.
This role will work closely with the General Manager - 4PL Services to seek out new customer prospects, and create relationships with customers in accordance with the strategic growth strategies for the vertical. This role will be selling Toll's offered services, so experience in this is highly regarded.
Based in Melbourne, this role may require some travel across Australia.
