An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Development Manager to join Stockland's Masterplanned Communities team in Victoria.


This role will initially be working on our Katalia project located in Donnybrook, less than 40km from the Melbourne CBD this community offers our customers the ability to be a booming local community enhanced by fresh air, education options, modern retail centres, medical services and well-connected transport.


Opportunity - About the Role


Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for leadership in developing and driving the project strategy, with safety and commercial acuity at the forefront.


Key Responsibilities

  • Foster crossdivisional collaboration to maximise overall profitability by leveraging Stockland's mixeduse capabilities.
  • Work with the project teams to improve the customer experience along the customer journey and ensure professional and timely management of customer issues.
  • Manage the strategy and implementation of various aspects of the sales and marketing process
  • Promote and role model Stockland's continued commitment to and leadership in sustainability and support the delivery of a community and environmental shared value proposition
  • Continually monitor market and competitor activity in relation to the direction and performance of the project, implementing product changes in conjunction with members of the cross functional project team when applicable to maintain competitiveness
  • Develop a team culture that delivers high valueadd outputs and an environment where people excel.
  • Empower, lead and coach/ mentor junior team members and members of other teams to build their engagement, capabilities and knowledge to effectively deliver required outcomes
  • Proactively Identify the key business risks and initiate risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all HSE processes are properly implemented within the area of responsibility.
  • Manage design, approvals and delivery for:
  • stages in the LTF pipeline including land, integrated product;
- key amenity, EMW infrastructure and management obligations;
- superlots for third party development including child care, schools and retail

  • Actively manage all aspects of Project launch and delivery, inclusive but not limited to:
  • Design and planning submissions and approvals
  • Coordination of project launch
  • Leading various aspects of the marketing and sales process.
  • Developing and delivering on project vision
  • Awarding, managing and administering contracts
  • Reporting, budgeting, risk assessment, monthly reviews and cash flow management

About You

  • Degree qualified in a related discipline
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams with an adaptive leadership style that is collaborative
  • Project, planning, cost and risk management expertise
  • Development industry knowledge and expertise ideally within land/masterplanned residential communities
  • Exceptional stakeholder's management and influencing skills
  • Commercial acumen and significant forecasting and financial management
  • Customer centric, focus on data analytics and insights to inform decision making
  • Selfmotivated and results focussed
