    ABOUT OUR CLIENT & THE ROLE
    Our client is a leader in the consumer lending industry with over 20 years of experience. With a wide-reaching branch network across Australia, they specialize in offering tailored financial solutions both face-to-face and online. Committed to serving the communities they operate in, they provide regulated credit solutions with extensive consumer protections, catering to individuals often excluded from mainstream financiers. As a Company Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in driving our client's strategic objectives forward. You'll have the opportunity to explore new avenues, enhance accounting processes, and contribute to the overall profitability of the organization. Your specialized skills and analytical mindset will be crucial in supporting existing initiatives and bringing fresh perspectives to the team.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage daily accounting tasks including billing, receivables, payables, and bank reconciliation.
    • Handle management accounting duties such as revenue recognition and bad debt accounts.
    • Perform daily reconciliation of the loan book and analyze exception reports.
    • Prepare monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting materials.
    • Assist in audits by preparing work papers, responding to queries, and drafting financial statements.
    • Conduct data analysis and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
    • Monitor financial performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure budget adherence.
    • Build relationships with vendors and collaborate with other departments.
    • Support cash flow management, budgeting, and funding activities.
    • Develop and document accounting policies to enhance internal controls.
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and prepare tax returns.
    • Lead and manage the accounting team, fostering positive relationships internally and externally.

    SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

    • CPA/CA qualification.
    • Strong financial accounting skills and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Working knowledge of NetSuite.
    • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, with the ability to handle high-volume data.
    • SQL skills are highly regarded and advantageous.
