    Technical Project Delivery Manager (C2M)

    • Contract

      • There are plenty of technology consulting businesses in Australia. Some of them claim to service "Blue Chip clients". A few of them claim to be specialists in complex project delivery. A smaller group ofthem also claim to specialize in Digital transformation. We're one of the very few who can truly claim to be all three of these.

      For the last 4 years, we've been going about our business without any fanfare or self-adulation. We've been focusing on the only thing that really matters to our clients, and that's delivery. When youget to the core of what clients want, it's predictable delivery, no surprises and knowing that they'rein safe hands.

      Our people are the type who thrive in solving technically challenging problems, generally at a largescale. The type of work we do affects business outcomes and helps deliver client strategies, so we're a group of people who take that seriously. We're less ping-pong tables and bean bags, more whiteboardsand coffee. This is probably why customers come to us with their most complex problems.

      Our Technical Project Delivery Managers work with clients to deliver high impact and at times, high profile projects. They might be migrating large scale applications and/or systems from on-premise to the cloud or replacing one vendor's product with another.

      They have generally worked within complex Enterprise environments such as Banking/Telco/Insurance. They've navigated those environments and they understand how to drive outcomes and make things happen. They also realize that at times things don't always move as quickly as they may elsewhere, but they still make the delivery happen.

      Regardless of the work, at this level our people are expected to;

      • Have a strong track record of delivery.
      • Be expert communicators, regardless of the audience.
      • Provide high-class governance and planning.
      • Possess advanced negotiation skills.
      • Have deep technical capability, at a conceptual not code level.
      • Be natural leaders.
      • Have empathy for clients.
      • Be highly organized at a personal level.
      • Still be technically curious.
      • Have some battle scars from previous roles.
      • Be inspired by responsibility, not scared of it.
      • Be calm under pressure.

      They're also ensuring that clients don't have any surprises, that they feel as if they are in safe hands and that we're working alongside them to deliveroutcomes despite the complexity.

      You may have noticed that we don't make lists of years of experience needed, or technical requirements. At this level, there's no point. If you need us to spell it all out for you then you're reading the wrong job ad. If you have a track record of delivery, can distilcomplexity and thrive in technically challenging enterprise environments, then we'd like to think there's value in a discussion.
