Joshua Fitzmaurice

I am passionate about bridging emerging technologies with their successful implementation. Combining my scientific education, technical experience, and roles within program management, I possess the ability to strategically plan and deliver results within a breadth of environments and teams. Space, technology, and leadership are the fields that bring me the most personal satisfaction. I am equally at home delving into data in isolation, as I am leading a team and generating strategic policy to drive optimal outcomes.

I have a Master of Science degree in Physics (Space Science) and have published several papers on space object detection and Mars colonisation. With a background in Defence, aviation, space, and technology, I have developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as consulting and communication skills, through my diverse and challenging roles. 

I am currently a Senior Program Manager at Microsoft, where I utilise over 10 years of experience in the space sector to lead the delivery of Azure Space programs and solutions. I am passionate about advancing the frontiers of space exploration and innovation, and I am motivated by the opportunity to contribute to Microsoft's vision of empowering every person and organization on (and off) the planet to achieve more.
