Savanna is currently looking for an experienced Financial Accountant (12 Month Fixed Term Contract) to assist the Accounts team to provide an excellent service to our business. This is a newly created position to support our growing business and increased workload.

Bachelor 's degree in accounting, finance or similar field

A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Financial Accountant in a commercial industry

Strong statutory financial reporting and tax experience

Experience working in an ERP environment (Great Plains software desirable)

Strong mathematical, analytical aptitude and attention to detail

Advanced Excel user

Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities and presentation skills

Deadline-orientated

Good people skills and customer focus (internal & external)

CPA qualified desirable but not essential

What you'll be doing:

Work as part of a team

Coordinate month-end close activities and assist with monthly reporting obligations

Involvement in all statutory related financial reporting and tax activities

Consult closely with internal & external audit functions

Review and lodge monthly BAS together with other reporting matters
