Job Description


As Program Coordinator you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Immediate Housing Response for Families (IHRF) funded regions - Toowoomba, Gold Coast, Gladstone, Warwick & Roma.

A key deliverable of this role is the coordination of service delivery, accountability for client outcomes and responsibility for the management and outputs of employees within the line management chain.

You will also be responsible for monthly reports to the Department, overseeing budget management and attending IHRF meetings.


Key requirements of this position are effective leadership skills, sound case management skills and support to individuals with complex needs, keen analytical skills and the ability to work within relevant funding guidelines and agreements, legislative requirements and St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland's policies and procedures.

This is a
fixed-term (until 30/06/2024) full-time position (38 hours per week) based in
Toowoomba.
Desired Skills and Experience


To be successful in the role, you will meet the following criteria:

  • Tertiary Qualification Degree in social work, psychology, social sciences or a related discipline
  • Minimum five years' industry experience working with clients in crisis including holistic personcentred case management frameworks
  • Demonstrated program coordination and leadership skills, including human resources and financial management, quality assurance, risk management and reporting
  • Previous experience as a coordinator of equivalent senior position with accountability for operational outcomes and direct reports
  • Demonstrated sound knowledge, skills and experience in holistic complex case management that is client centred
  • Demonstrated sound knowledge, skills, experience and commitment to individualized strengthsbased planning and support service delivery
  • Knowledge of and ability to work within relevant funding guidelines and legislative requirements relating to the delivery of program outcomes and safety and risk
  • Ability to inspire and lead a small team including welldeveloped interpersonal, communication, IT and organisation skills
  • Current Class C Drivers' Licence and proof of COVID19 vaccination status is required
  • Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society
