The Role and Responsibilities

As a vital member of the team, the Part-Time Payroll Officer will work closely with the Human Resources Manager, taking charge of payroll administration, service delivery, tax compliance, and precision to guarantee seamless payroll operations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Efficiently process payroll for employees on a regular basis, ensuing accuracy and timeliness
Calculate and process payroll taxes, superannuation contributions, and other deductions in compliance with relevant regulations;
SCHADS award interpretation;
Address payroll-related queries from employees and management, providing timely and accurate responses; and
Contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

The Successful Candidate

Within the context of the role described, the ideal applicant will be someone who has the following expertise:

Proven track record in payroll processing with proficiency in Payroll and Rostering systems;
In-depth knowledge of SCHADS and Health Professionals and Support Services Award, adept at making necessary adjustments for consistency across systems;
Strong communication skills in written, verbal, and listening capacities, fostering productive relationships; and
Possession of relevant qualifications in payroll or related disciplines.
