    This large and diversified Australian retail and consumer products group is a true powerhouse, dominating the retail sector for the past 30+ years and crafting brands known and loved by households across the country. Privately owned and employing over 4,000 staff across nearly 500 stores, they consistently experience double digit growth and strong profitability.

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, hands on and leadership focussed CFO to join the business and be part of the executive leadership team. Reporting to the CEO, you will take ownership of leading the entire finance department and have a variety of responsibilities including:

    • Financial and management reporting, including application of IFRS16
    • Preparation and presentation of board reports
    • Partnering with the CEO on business strategy and analysis
    • All taxation matters including tax risk management and transfer pricing
    • Budgeting and forecasting
    • Preparation of long term strategic plans
    • Store profitability analytics
    • Establishing framework of key performance indicators for stores
    • Take ownership of annual audit
    • Inventory, stock take control and loss prevention
    • Reviewing lease proposals and negotiations
    • Assist with managing key relationships - solicitors, banks, insurers etc
    • Ad hoc process improvements and recommendations

    To be considered for this high impact leadership role, you will be CA/CPA qualified and have a proven track record of operating at the CFO level within a retail/consumer/inventory environment. You will also be a strong leader with the ability to nurture and harness the team whilst also effectively managing relationships at the executive level. You must be comfortable with being across the technical accounting detail but equally adept working at a strategic level.
