How will I help?


Financial Markets & Treasury Operations forms part of WIB Operations under Group Operations within the Customer Services & Technology Division.

WIB Operations supports the Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB), and we pride ourselves on being a business unit that is equipped to meet the ever-changing needs of the market, while remaining committed to our different customers, stakeholders, and products.


Financial Markets & Treasury Operation which sits within WIB Operations is managed through its Central Hub in Sydney utilising a 24 hour the sun model.

The team manage Global FX, Derivative and Security settlements along with Treasury processing and Corporate Lending Operations.


The key focus of this role is to create and maintain a business unit that is focussed on increasing customer satisfaction, developing a high performing and skilled workforce and cost-efficient business practices.

The role operates in accordance with Compliance & Privacy requirements and focuses on effective operational risk management.

What do I need?

  • 12 year's industry experience
  • Specific product knowledge advantageous (Bonds, FX & Syndicated Loans)
  • Specific system knowledge advantageous (LoanIQ, Murex, CTM, Calypso)
  • Excellent focus on attention to detail with the capability to work and make decisions in a fastpaced environment.
  • Energetic and motivated, able to work well inside a group and broadly across an organisation.
  • Confident and articulate communicator
  • Positive and enthusiastic approach to acquiring product and systems knowledge.
  • Flexible team player with the ability to work across teams and hours where required.
