Lead a division of an ASX listed media organisation overseeing a small team

About the role
***This is a key leadership role looking after a business division reporting to the CEO/CFO. Managing a small team of four, you will be a hands-on operator responsible for driving the business forward to maximise agency profitability. You will have a seat at the table as part of the SLT and be driven to provide strategic direction in financial operations. This role requires an inspirational leader to mentor and provide clear vision ensuring the delivery of a best-in-class function.


Duties

  • Business partner with the executive team to deliver budget and forecast requirements
  • Ensure cashflow requirements are met inline with company targets
  • Manage expenditure inline with budget expectations
  • Preparation and negotiation of client contracts
  • Preparation of timely and insightful reporting to senior leadership
  • Oversee client and project profitability analysis
  • Review of weekly working capital reports, timely payments, and debtor/creditor management
  • Preparation of CAPEX business cases including submission of annual capex budget planning
  • Oversee the payroll function approving your teams deliverables
  • Drive process improvement by automation of manual tasks & system upgrades where necessary

Skills and Experience

  • CA / CPA Qualified
  • 5+ years experience in a similar leadership role
  • Media/Marketing experience preferred
  • Advanced Excel and financial analysis abilities
  • Commercially astute to affect change in the business
  • Technically strong understanding statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Strong leadership skills with a growth mindset
  • Excellent communication to liaise with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Selfmotivated to drive function improvement
