    BDO is a trusted adviser to clients seeking Audit, Tax and Advisory services. As one of the world's leading Audit and Accounting organisations, we have clients of all types and sizes from large corporate organisations to private businesses, entrepreneurs and individuals across an array of industry sectors.

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager or Senior Manager to join our Audit team based in our Melbourne office.

    *Negotiable salary based on relevant experience, starting from $, (inclusive of super).

    Skills and Experience:

    • 4-6+ years Audit experience gained in a professional services firm
    • Managing and developing staff (not only audit teams), i.e. coordinating staff projects, mentoring, counselling, appraising, recruiting etc
    • Significant experience of delivering audit and other assurance services to clients in the Financial Services sector
    • Excellent working knowledge of Australian and International GAAS, IFRS and Financial Reporting requirements
    • CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent)

    Responsibilities:

    Include, but not limited to:

    • Mentoring junior staff & building close internal relationships
    • Complete staff Performance Development Reviews, providing feedback and identifying training needs.
    • Service line management, including contribution to overall service line strategy.
    • Report on business KPIs as appropriate.
    • Manage client work-in-progress, including drafting of invoices, forecasting, and following up on outstanding accounts
    • High level of client service through on-site client visits
    • Identify & communicate risk areas to clients
    • Develop audit strategies & drafting of audit plans
    • Execute audits for large proprietary & listed organisations
    • Group audit instructions & documenting control environments
    • Review files around technical accounting & audit requirements
    • Draft management letters & audit completion reports
    • Prepare & review of statutory financial reports
