After graduating with a First Class honours degree in Fashion Marketing (BSc) from the University of Manchester, I returned to SIRPLUS as a Buying Admin Assistant, having interned with them the previous summer. This sustainable brand is built on the notion of using surplus fabrics to create premium menswear in limited runs. From the outset, I was heavily involved in this process, from design to delivery. In the year and a half I was with SIRPLUS, I progressed through two promotions to become an Assistant Buyer for the business.

● Trend forecasting and creating presentation decks to inspire the upcoming range each season.
● Building relationships with mills, meeting seasonally to purchase fabrics and trims.
● Range planning and product development, from tech pack creation to several rounds of sample improvements through multiple lab dips and fit sessions.
● Discussing OTB with the merchandiser prior to placing orders & negotiating on prices with manufacturers.
● Critical path set up and maintenance, contacting factories to chase production where necessary.
● Organising international deliveries, whilst advising on logistical and financial impacts of Brexit.
● Hiring and managing interns, mentoring them throughout their time with the brand.

PUMA, Herzogenaurach Germany — Sportstyle Marketing Intern
June 2019 - March 2020

● Concept generation, including contributing to the creative direction of 2021’s Sustainability strategy.
● Identifying, researching and analysing upcoming trends to produce a monthly report which was distributed company-wide.
● Creating sell-in materials for seasonal meetings with global teams, then assisting with the smooth running of these presentations.
● Supporting the stylist at seasonal photoshoots for global imagery.
● Managing samples and updating a shared document to ensure smooth transitions between the design, marketing and product
development teams.

June - September 2018

Over a summer break from University, HAYS Recruitment agency assigned me to work on reception for multiple oces in central London. The broad scope of international businesses, which included Google, Kao and AXA Insurance, taught me to quickly adapt to each company culture, whilst maintaining a friendly and personable demeanour at all times. During my time with HAYS, I learnt how to communicate eectively in a corporate environment, whilst juggling multiple tasks and prioritising accordingly.

Over the course of two years, I gained invaluable experience within this well renowned department store in the UK. I was taught about the importance of the consumer for both the reputation of the brand and the success of the branch itself. By providing impeccable customer service, we were able to upsell whilst ensuring that each customer left satisfied and willing to return. This consumer relationship building interested me, eventually leading me to study Fashion Marketing at University.
