    The Opportunity

    This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join one of Australia's leading and largest transportation groups, who have an excellent reputation in providing exceptional service and consistency.     This is a newly created opportunity that will suit an experienced Senior Accountant or Senior Financial Accountant looking to take the next step in their career with a growing and profitable Australian business.     The Challenge

    Working as a Financial Accounting Team Lead and reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Identify and suggest the implementation of process improvements within the finance team and across the broader business;
    • Design and implementation of controls and processes for all business cycles;
    • Preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts, P&L, balance sheet and cash flows for each entity;
    • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting packs to the senior management team and capital partners;
    • Preparation of statutory financial statements and managing year end audit process for the entity and the group;
    • Review of annual tax reporting and tax returns;
    • Supervise external service providers for financial reporting, accounts payable, BAS, payroll tax and income tax;
    • Assist with special projects and ad hoc reporting as required by the business.

    The Expertise

    Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

    • Ideally, you are CA/CPA and have 7+ years experience, and are currently a Senior Accountant/Senior Financial Accountant
    • The ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and operate efficiently in a highly complex environment
    • A high attention to detail, strong work ethic as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
