_About the Role_


The Team Lead is responsible for managing a cross-functional agile team of business analysts, developers, and testers to design, build and maintain software solutions through the software development lifecycle.

They help drive a culture of continuous improvement, lean thinking, and ensure their team meets its commitments.

The role is temporary until 31 December possible extension or becoming ongoing.

_Essential requirements_

  • At least 3 years' experience leading teams and managing the delivery of complex software projects, preferably in both Waterfall and Agile environments.
  • At least 5 years' development experience with a strong technical background in MS technologies and cloud computing platforms, such as Azure.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Strong team leadership skills with a focus on engaging at a technical level with teams to maximise individual team member and overall team performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately estimate and scope work to deliver software changes.
  • Demonstrated experience use a range of software development planning, monitoring, reporting and quality assurance tools, eg Jira, Zephr, Confluence, Azure Devops.
  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Politically neutral with no affiliation to political parties or lobbyists/campaigners.
  • Satisfactory criminal record check results.
