    Health Information Services Officer - Melbourne, Australia - Healthscope

    Description

    your responsibilities will include:

  • Medical record retrieval
  • Provision of health information to internal and external clients
  • Filing of paperwork
  • Filing and culling of medical records
  • Day to day functionality of the HIS department
  • Participating in performance improvement activities
  • Monday to Friday role, 8:00am to 4:00pm
  • Essential criteria:

  • Authority to work in Australia
  • Proficient un use of email, web-based applications and Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a team member in a small team environment
  • Ability to work within deadlines
  • Flexibility in responding to the changing needs of the business
  • Commitment to document security and patient privacy
  • Experience with the WebPAS patient information system (desirable)
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting or record keeping environment (desirable)
  • Previous experience in Health Information Services (desirable)
