    Description

    **Edward Mann** is looking for a **Senior Management Accountant** to join a growing **Retail/Wholesale group** located in **Hoxton Park**. The perfect candidate will have a solid finance background, top-notch analytical skills, and excellent attention to detail. You'll handle financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, and provide strategic recommendations to boost business growth and profitability.

    This role is perfect for someone familiar with retail and the challenges of managing high inventory volume. The employer offers a salary of up to **120k + Super**, depending on experience, and potentially more for outstanding candidates. They also provide **WFH flexibility**.

    **Responsibilities:**

    • **Budgeting and Forecasting**: Lead the annual budgeting process and conduct regular forecasting activities. Collaborate with department heads to set budget targets and track performance against set goals.

    • **Financial Reporting**: Prepare precise and timely financial reports, including monthly/quarterly financial statements, variance analysis, and key performance indicators. Present financial insights to senior management to drive business growth.

    • **Cash Flow Management**: Oversee cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to maintain optimal financial well-being. Keep an eye on accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory levels to reduce risks and maximize cash resources.

    • **Financial Statements Analysis**: Analyze financial statements, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Assess the financial health and performance of the retail business.

    • **Retail Metrics and Margins**: Monitor and analyze retail metrics like sales revenue, gross margin, and inventory turnover to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

    • **Import Costings and Logistics**: Manage import costings and logistics expenses accurately to optimize delivery truck efficiency and enhance operational effectiveness.

    • **Cost Centres Management**: Establish and supervise cost centers to manage expenses across different departments. Implement cost-saving strategies and monitor performance against budget targets.

    • **Inventory Optimization**: Ensure optimal levels of inventory across the business's SKUs. Analyze inventory turnover rates and implement strategies to reduce carrying costs.

    • **Financial Compliance**: Ensure compliance with regulations and internal financial policies. Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.

    • **Identifying Areas of Improvement**: Identify opportunities for improvement and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.

    • **Strategic Planning**: Work with senior management to devise strategic plans and initiatives for business growth.

    **The Ideal Candidate should have experience with:**

    • CPA/CA qualified or equivalent, with experience in the retail sector.

    • Proactive approach in addressing financial challenges and driving business improvements.

    • Leadership skills to guide the finance team and promote accountability and continuous improvement.

    • Effective communication with internal stakeholders and a solution-focused mindset.

    • Capability to challenge existing practices and provide constructive feedback to senior management.
