    Job Description

    The newly established Systems Accountant role will provide essential support to various finance stakeholders in the organisation. The primary focus of this role is to guarantee the integrity of financial systems, encompassing ongoing optimisation of finance systems, management of interfaces, improvement of processes and controls, execution of projects, and provision of support to finance personnel.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Continuously optimise finance systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
    2. Manage interfaces between different financial systems to ensure smooth data flow.
    3. Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and controls.
    4. Lead and contribute to projects related to finance, ensuring successful execution.
    5. Provide technical support and guidance to finance personnel for effective system utilisation.
    6. Apply robust technical expertise in finance systems, particularly large-scale ERP systems, to enhance overall financial operations.

    The Successful Applicant

    The key selection criteria for this role includes:

    • Formal qualifications in Accounting or another related discipline at bachelor's degree
    • Demonstrated understanding of complex finance issues within a rapidly growing business
    • Prior experience as a systems accountant with strong skills in maintaining finance systems
    • Experience with D365 Finance and Operations, IBM Planning & Analytics TM1, and reporting tools is beneficial.
    • Experience working application support model ideally within the finance domain.
    • CA/CPA/CIMA membership (preferred but not essential)
