    Greenstock is Woolworths' end-to-end multi-channel red meat business, combining deep industry expertise with advanced analytics to deliver high quality and sustainable beef, lamb and pork to Woolworth's strategic channels being Australian Retail and Foodservice, as well as the International market to support carcase balancing.

    Launched in 2021, Greenstock consolidates Woolworths Group's existing livestock and boxed primal procurement, primary and secondary processing, supply and demand planning teams into one business unit. While the primary objective is to provide a competitive advantage to our Australian Supermarkets Protein offer, future revenue and profit growth will come from developing the Protein category with our partner PFD in Foodservice and also ensuring the right go to market approach for export to support our strategic channels.

    Greenstock's ambition is to be the trusted, transparent and sustainable supply chain delivering delicious, affordable, quality meat from Australian farmers to families everyday.

    About the role

    This role is a key role with regards to the day to day managment and relationship between Greenstock and PFD. The Commercial Account Manager is directly responsible for identifying new product listings, negotiating quarterly pricing, preparing monthly PFD Business Reviews, the management of orders and the rolling 16 week demand forecast, as well as liaising internally with Greenstock operational teams as required.

    In addition the role also supports the Non-Retail and PFD Business Development Manager with the development of the annual budget, the sales and customer strategy in collaboration with PFD to deliver against the joint PFD and Woolworths business long term strategic objectives with regards to growing the red meat category in the foodservice channel.

    Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Overall day to day management of the PFD Channel to support the delivery of the financial and customer targets as agreed in the Joint Annual Business plan
  • Lead the weekly article level demand forecasting process and order management including the maintenance of the 16 week rolling forecast with a four week locked order window by state and production location and ensure that all orders and forecasts are maintained weekly in Foods Connected
  • Provide recommendations to the Business Development Manager on opportunities to improve the internal processes, systems or ways of working to ensure that we build account management and multi channel account management skills within Greenstock
  • Directly working with Greenstock production planners to ensure PFD orders are fulfilled in full and on time and action any enquiries from PFD with regards to missed or incorrect orders
  • Provide insight and commentary around performance including forward looking concerns or required actions and make recommendations to Business Development Manager or PFD Category Manager
  • Provide market intelligence internally and to PFD on the Australian foodservice and retail markets, competitor activity and build partnerships with industry bodies such as the MLA to their leverage consumer and customer insight studies
  • Identify opportunities for growth for both PFD and Greenstock
  • Who we are looking for

    To be successful in this role it is critical that the Commercial Account Manager has strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management capabilities in order to seamlessly manage the multiple key relationships.

    We are looking for someone with proven commercial experience, who can balance strategic capability and operational execution.

    Requirements:

  • Previous 5+ years direct FMCG customer or channel management experience
  • Direct red meat or protein experience not required but desirable
  • Tertiary education – Bachelor of Commerce, Business or related field
  • Demonstrated track record of P+L accountability and success in delivering profitable growth in either grocery, foodservice or QSR channels
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, establish and maintain strong relationships
  • Demonstrated computer skills and Google functions
  • Proven customer management experience including the ability to influence multiple stakeholders both within own organisation and customer
  • Ability to develop sales plans and compelling selling stories, based on customer and market insights
  • Ability to analyse and synthesise data to make sound recommendations or decisions
  • Excellent networking skills and the ability to identify the right stakeholders
  • Driven, adaptable and comfortable with change
