    As a global leader in their field, our client is an ASX-listed digital business with a successful history and continued growth. The firm has a well aligned strategy for profitable growth and the corporate development team plays a key role in developing, defining, and evolving partnerships and inorganic growth strategies. As a result, they are looking to hire a GM Corporate Development to help shape the strategic trajectory and to drive growth and innovation for the business.

    The GM Corporate Development reports to the Chief Financial Officer and will play an instrumental part in helping senior management to deliver ongoing growth strategy through inorganic growth of direct acquisitions, strategic investments and/or alliances as well as JV agreements. Your key responsibilities will be to:

    • Proactively build, nurture & continually evaluate a pipeline of relevant growth opportunities
    • Critically assess the viability of opportunities & present insightful analysis & recommendations to Senior Management, Executive Leadership team and the Board
    • Lead the transaction execution process of commercial/financial due diligence & negotiation activities to bring these opportunities to fruition
    • Forge strong internal relationships with business units to work closely with and collaboratively support their strategic growth plans, and
    • Lead & develop a small team of corporate development/M&A professionals

    You will have 10+ years' experience in either investment banking, blue-chip corporate advisory, direct investing or corporate development developed in a firm with an active growth mandate. You will bring excellent technical skills, a genuine commercial understanding about what drives value in a business and a pragmatic approach to problem solving. It is expected you can demonstrate strong leadership credentials and unparalleled stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
