    The Role


    This is the perfect opportunity for an up-and-coming Assistant Operations Manager to learn from a team of passionate hospitality professionals as well as be a part of one of Merivale's most iconic locations. We are looking for someone who is committed to embedding themselves in the team and venue, connecting authentically with the community. We build teams who know how to deliver guest experiences like no other. Our leaders are expected to always drive the teams they support to create magical moments for every guest – big and small

    In a nutshell, you will need to:


    1. Understand how to deliver exemplary guest experiences. This incredible venue will feel warm and welcoming with a casual tone of engagement, underpinned by knowledgeable, professional execution.
    2. Lead & Coach a diverse team of people, ensuring that team culture is guest-focused, community-led, and sales-driven.
    3. Competency to drive the financial results of the department. Be sales-focused, create and lead the team to execute revenue initiatives, and demonstrate proven results in the management of financial controls.
    4. Passion for product. Support the extraordinary team of chefs and guarantee you and your teams have a detailed knowledge of the product.
    5. Establish a healthy working environment for the team – enjoyable, educational, results-focused, and respectful.
