Description

Our client is an established designer, manufacturer and supplier of specialised steel products to the building and construction industry in Australia.

In this pivotal role, you manage all facets of manufacturing, operations and driving continued growth across NSW at the Sydney branch office.

There is also secondary responsibility assisting with operations at the Melbourne office.


Key responsibilities:


  • Overseeing daytoday operations across NSW and VIC with a focus on safety, quality, and customer service
  • Achieving operational and production targets
  • Troubleshooting technical processing challenges
  • Overseeing customer service and sales operations
  • Overseeing procurement and key supplier accounts
  • Managing container imports
  • Analyse and report on all weekly results for your operations
  • Management of Human Resources including recruitment of permanent and casual staff, coaching and performance management
  • Manage daytoday coordination of labour, materials and equipment

Essential criteria

  • Minimum 5 years' in similar role managing people and performance
  • Industry knowledge and experience in building and construction
  • Practical and technical knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • IT proficiency and familiarity with MS Office Suite and accounting/inventory systems
  • Sound understanding of workplace safety
  • Full NSW Drivers Licence
  • Full working rights in Australia

Desirable

  • Degree in Accounting or equivalent preferred but not essential

Salary package:
$141,550 ($110,000 base + Superannuation + Company vehicle)
