    In this job you will:

    Be responsible for the transport logistics and distribution of our customer's products. The successful applicant will ensure outstanding customer service standards are achieved, safety and operational targets are met and exceeded in line with the contract KPI's. To succeed in this fast pace environment you will need to be able to effectively prioritise the daily operations to ensure key time critical milestones are achieved.

    • Providing a safe working environment for all team members, and ensure compliance to all statutory regulations
    • Develop and manage the overall fleet operation ensuring maximum optimisation of vehicles, drivers, sub-contractors, and equipment.
    • Oversee the timely pick-up and delivery of all products ensuring safe delivery of loads, without damage, in full on time and with accurate paperwork.
    • Effective collection of relevant KPI's and interpretation / reporting of same to drive continuous improvement
    • Ensuring all elements of the Transport Operations are achieved efficiently with maximum utilization of equipment and resources
    • Key point of Escalation for Drivers reporting injuries, hazards, conflict and customer concerns focusing on providing safe solutions to meet customer expectations.
    • Conduct regular meetings with internal and external stakeholders to improve, maintain and build relationships

    You have the following qualities & qualifications:

    • Ability to build and maintain high level client, site and stakeholder relationships
    • Strong transport and logistics background
    • Proven experience in people leadership.
    • Solid understanding of the transport business sector
    • Excellent commercial, P&L management, change management, interpersonal and communication skills
    • Proven experience managing a compliant and fast paced operation
