- Lead point of contact for all customer account management matters for your territory;
- Continually liaise with operational teams (Qld, NT and remote) to ensure cargo care processes and pickups are maintained;
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships;
- Negotiate contracts and close agreements, complete freight estimates when required;
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts and customer stakeholders;
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of cargo freight according to customer needs and objectives;
- Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales objectives;
- Achieve targets and standards that support the attainment of the Business Development/Customer Service team objectives.
- Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts);
- Prepare reports on account status;
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and grow opportunities within territory;
- Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft office, Salesforce and general computer skills;
- Demonstrated experience and key strength with customer service interface;
- Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills;
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and negotiation skills;
- Ability to collect, track, and analyse large amounts of data;
- Well-developed customer service skills;
- Work planning and time management skills;
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail;
- Understanding of Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental principles.
