About the role
We are currently seeking candidates with experience and expertise in Nursing, Anaesthetic Technology and varied Health Professional/Science roles to plan, develop and deliver training and assessment to students in this study area.

The lecturer's primary role is to teach, facilitate learning, assess and mentor students in accordance with relevant curriculum and/or training package requirements. Lecturers also undertake Professional Activities and Activities Related to Delivery. In order to maintain quality educational services, lecturers are required to keep abreast of technological and other developments in their field through professional development to provide up-to-date information and advice to the College and industry, where appropriate.

Relevant Qualification and Experience
To be eligible for employment you must hold a minimum of 5 years' experience in your area of expertise. For Enrolled Nursing and AIN positions you will need to be a Registered Nurse and be registered with AHPRA. For Anaesthetic Technology positions you will require a minimum Diploma of Anaesthetic Technology or equivalent; and for the Preparation to Health and Nursing Studies positions you will need a relevant higher qualification, and, where applicable, registration with AHPRA.

NM TAFE prefers lecturers to hold the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116, or TAE40110 and the additional skill sets referred to in Schedule 1, Item 2 of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs You are still eligible to apply if you do not yet hold these credentials but we may require you to obtain the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 prior to appointment, irrespective of holding other adult education qualifications.
