    ABOUT THE ROLELake Imaging has an opportunity for a registered General Practitioner / Doctor or radiology registrar to assist performing stress testing for our Myocardial perfusion studies (MPS) at our Ballarat St John of God imaging department.

    Key Responsibilities

    Key ResponsibilitiesThis is an opportunity for skill and knowledge enhancement in cardiac imaging in a Nuclear Medicine environment, along with radiation safety and administration of radiation Isotope.

    The position is based in a supported hospital environment.

    You will be required to:

    • Contribute to MPS studies
    • Understand cardiac stressing principals and ECG patterns
    • Provide administration of medications for chemical stressing patients
    • Conduct patient assessment to see if they are able to do treadmill stressing
    • Monitor the patients during the stress time with the nurse
    • Hold a first aid certificate in responding to patients with chest pain
    • Understand the radiation safety principal and handling of radiation Isotope
    • Approximately 2 to 7 patients dailyWe would be able to work around your commitments in your field, this service is currently offered on Wednesday and/or Thursdays with an intention to build offering a per patient rate on casual 3 hours to 8 hours as your availability for us to book patients

    You will need to hold:

    • AHPRA registration
    • MBBS qualification
