The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a casual Research Assistant to join our CIRCA DIEM Study.


As part of our Chronobiology team, this study team aims to understand if day/night cycling of environmental light and noise improves brain development of premature babies compared to nursing premature babies in a hospital ward with similar light and noise levels throughout the day and the night.


We are now looking for someone with expertise in psychology to evaluate several mental health surveys that are being completed by our CIRCA DIEM primary carers and follow up with them directly if there are any concerns.


Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating survey responses.
  • Following up directly with participants if any concerns are raised via the survey.
  • Recommending appropriate followup care to the study site team.

About You


This position requires you to hold a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Psychology as well as a post-graduate qualification in Clinical Psychology (either working towards or completed).

Along with that the key to your success will be your demonstrated skills and experience in the following areas:


  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Selfdirected in provision of patient/participant care and timely achievement of work tasks.
  • Knowledge of ethical issues relating to the conduct of research involving human participants.
  • Effective organisational skills.
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office, MS Teams, data management programs and other electronic communications.
  • Flexibility in working hours, including afterhours, if required.
