    Your Mission:

    Join our dynamic Project Team as a meticulous and results-driven Project Controls Coordinator, where you will be responsible for the project control outputs for cost and provide support to the other project control functions. Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, this role is integral to achieving accurate financial reporting, budget adherence, reporting accurate project status and enabling proactive decision-making. You'll collaborate closely with the project team to implement effective cost-control measures, ensure accurate forecasting, and align project financials with the project success criteria. You will also provide support in purchasing administration, provide basic project planning and schedule updates, and offer support to document management.

    Your Day-to-Day Adventures

    • Budget Oversight: Collaborate with project managers and team members to develop and monitor project budgets, ensuring alignment with overall financial objectives.
    • Cost Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of project and supplier costs, identifying variances and trends, and working with project teams to mitigate and pursue saving opportunities.
    • Forecasting: Assist in developing financial forecasts by providing accurate and timely information on project costs and expenditures.
    • Reporting: Generate regular cost reports for project managers and senior leadership, highlighting key financial metrics and trends.
    • Financial Compliance: Ensure project costs adhere to established financial policies, procedures, and industry standards, implementing corrective measures as needed.
    • Risk Assessment: Identify potential cost-related risks and collaborate with project teams to develop mitigation strategies.
    • Purchasing Administration: Manage purchasing processes, including vendor selection, procurement, and contract negotiation, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with organizational policies.
    • Basic Project Planning: Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and timelines, coordinating with project teams to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
    • Support to Document Management: Provide support in organizing and maintaining project documentation, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with document control procedures.

    Who You Are:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual with a proactive and collaborative approach to cost control. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong financial acumen and the ability to analyze complex data sets and provide meaningful insights. Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with stakeholders to ensure project costs align with financial objectives. Key attributes include a keen eye for detail, adaptability, and the ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams.

    What You Bring

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost control or a similar financial role.
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Project Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
    • Proficiency in financial analysis, cost control methodologies, and financial reporting, including experience in applying Cost Breakdown Structures and Work Breakdown Structures.
    • Certification in Project Management, cost control, or related financial disciplines is preferred.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve financial goals.
    • Strong competency in Excel, with experience in Power BI as an advantage.
    • Experience in Financial and purchasing modules of ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, SAP, JDE).
    • Experience working with planning tools (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and Project Management Cost Control Systems (for example, Prism, EcoSys, InEight Cost, UniPhi, Bentley Synchro) and is looked upon favourably.
