As part of the Financial Services Department, the Working Capital Team is a dynamic and supportive team that works together collaboratively to deliver excellence.

Responsible for the management of the Firms Working Capital, the team are required to ensure that billings, collections and receipting are delivered in an efficient and timely manner to meet with the Firms KPI's on a month to month basis.

The team is dedicated, innovative and efficient and its success is grounded in a friendly, fun, and respectful culture.

You'll be a part of our Finance team based in Sydney or Melbourne. This role reports to the Credit Team Leader who reports to the Head of Credit and Finance Operations


You will play a critical role in the working capital team by supporting the firms cash flow and maximising collections without jeopardising our client relationships.

As a Credit Controller Coordinator in our team you will:

  • Take control of a large dollar portfolio of corporate clients and ensure monthly collection targets and KPI's are met on a consistent basis.
  • Have strong people skills and the ability to build relationships with both our client contacts and internal clients.
  • Have a proven track record of success in the management of all aspects of credit control.
  • Understand alternative accounting, reporting or systems frameworks to meet client needs.
  • Analyse financial data using varied methodologies depending on client needs.
  • Interpret and comply with firm protocols and provide advice to clients within area of responsibility.
  • Respond to all requests in a timely manner, ensuring information provided is accurate and in line with internal standards and as required, escalating client concerns with the outcome being that all external clients promptly settle their outstanding invoices and the firm maximises its cash collections.
  • Demonstrate your ability to manage upward and escalate collection issues to the Team Leaders at the appropriate time frames to ensure all road blocks to collection are resolved quickly.
  • Demonstrate you're EQ, how you work with others, how you maintain positive and happy relationships within a large team, how you support and encourage others to foster happy relationships and how you will personally take responsibility to become a positive, fun and trusted team member.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity.

About you


You will have:

  • Undergraduate qualification in Commerce or a business related discipline is preferred along with Australian Institute of Credit Management Certificate IV.
  • Experience in a professional service firm is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Time management and the ability to prioritise;
  • Negotiation and advanced problem solving skills; and
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
