About the role


As the Risk and Safety Coordinator, you will report directly to the Asset Protection Risk Manager and provide administrative support to the Asset Protection Risk & Compliance team.

The role will utilise your high attention to detail and ability to prioritise as you assist with ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements and internal reporting as well as meeting information management requirements.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Coordinate and document scheduled and ad hoc reviews of the security access control and intruder detection system by authorised reviewers
  • Coordinate the timely and proactive procurement of consumables and other goods and services as they relate to (but not limited to) the:
  • Security access control and intruder detection system
  • Replenishment and maintenance of first aid supplies, equipment and facilities
  • Maintenance and servicing of the electronic key management system
  • Support the Director of Asset Protection Risk & Compliance to ensure that internal reporting and presentation requirements (scheduled and ad hoc) are accurately completed within prescribed time frames and standards
  • Coordinate the collection, orderly arrangement and production of various business records and information in response to (but not limited to):
  • Guest and community feedback
  • Internal audits
  • Risk, compliance and operational consultation and assessments (internal and independent)
  • Statutory notices to produce records and information
  • Legal and public liability matters
  • Health & Safety investigations, audits and assessments
  • Compliance breaches and investigations
  • Coordinate and maintain administrative processes and systems operations to ensure that Asset Protection Risk & Compliance contingent workers are accurately engaged, onboarded and terminated in a timely manner
  • Reconcile the destruction of gaming equipment, cards and gaming currency (eg, chips, tiles) with internal collection and movement records to all ensure the full life cycle of these articles is fully accounted for and relevant evidence maintained
  • Facilitate the drafting of regulatory submissions and other correspondence with regulators
  • Coordinate and maintain Licensing administrative processes and systems operations to ensure compliance with all Federal and State statutory requirements and company policy and procedures within the work environment
  • Maintain and update systems to check that all relevant employees are in possession of appropriate regulatory licences upon commencement of their duties
  • Complete regular reconciliation of employee records from the HR database with regulatory systems in relation to licence holders, licensed functions and skill qualifications and proficiencies

About you

  • 3+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration or similar discipline desirable
  • Understanding of human resource, incident reporting and security (access control, CCTV, electronic key management) systems
  • Experience in a Surveillance environment preferably within the Casino industry desirable.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.
