    Senior Associate Business Development & Project Finance Account & Relationship Management (Banking & Financial Services) Total Energies Renewables Australia Pty Ltd (formerly Total Eren) is a subsidiary of Total Energies.

    About the role With a dual reporting line to the Heads of Business Development and Structured Finance you will work in a fast-paced team environment and be developed by highly skilled professionals with solid experience in the renewable energy sector.


    You will be responsible for:

    Investment and Project finance activities, commercial development of projects and developing strong and useful internal and external relationships, relevant to the requirements of the role Investment and Project Finance Create, manage, and update the in-house suite of asset specific Template Financial Models.

    Maintaining strict quality control and process discipline whilst periodically facilitating internal and external audits. Adapting Template Financial Models to accommodate a) bespoke M&A opportunities and b) development of projects that sit within the existing Total Energies Renewables portfolio.

    Assumption collation:
    Coordinate capital, technical, market, revenue, finance, and cost assumptions to ensure quality and integrity of analytical output.

    Undertake analysis to support internal and external investment processes such as Investment Papers prepared by the Business Development team or Lender Credit Papers:

    Ongoing financial analysis and tracking economics throughout a project's development lifecycle; Maintenance of up-to-date financing assumptions and bankability requirements.

    Origination Equity support ('FID')Support the internal Financial Investment Decision ('FID') process by providing input into Investment Committee and Board Papers as required.

    Assist management with asset acquisition and divestment process by:

    Preparing marketing materials; Coordinating due diligence; Optimising tax/legal/accounting structures; and Financial and scenario analysis (including risk assessment and sensitivity analysis).

    Debt support (Financial Close) Assist with the development and evaluation of financing strategies; Prepare marketing materials /Ims; Assist with lender evaluation and lender group formation; Assist with the coordination of due diligence streams; Financial analysis including lender sensitivity analysis; Negotiate commercial terms - syndicated facility and security agreements and treasury (interest swaps and foreign exchange).

    Operations Lead the conversion of origination financial models to operational models ('Asset Models').
    Maintain and periodically update Asset Models to monitor and support assets under.
    construction and/or in operation.

    Periodically actualise Asset Models and report compliance with lender's financial covenants and foster lender relationships and assist with ongoing lender requirements - including compliance certification, covenant reporting and waivers and other reporting requirements per finance documentation.

    Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the project and its finance documentation, specifically around financial and commercial obligations. Cashflow management and analysis. Support the annual corporate long-term planning exercise.

    Support all commercial aspects of project development through to Financial Close by:

    Preparing RFPs for PPA bids, including associated financial analysis; Negotiating PPAs and joint development arrangements; and Providing commercial/financial analysis input to EPC procurement activities.


    Support and foster relationships with:

    Lenders; Equity investors; Consultants/advisors; Potential/existing PPA offtakers; and Industry peers and junior developers Develop strong internal relationships across Total Energies Renewables multidisciplinary team.

    Reporting Support any interface requirements with Paris HQ for reporting purposes across all teams, including preparing any reports and presentations, populating any reporting platforms/tools, implementing corporate processes and systems, coordinating with teams to collate information, attending calls and preparing templates.

    Qualifications Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Banking or Engineering disciplines (postgraduate degrees preferable); Able to work independently; Minimum 4 years' in a dedicated financial modelling role with a strong preference for candidates with specific experience in project finance of renewable assets or infrastructure more generally.

    Specific experience in within a bank financial Advisor, big-four consultancy, large developer or listed/ private equity highly regarded; Strong experience in financial modelling is essential, and will be tested as part of the interview process.

    Experience in the renewable energy or infrastructure space is highly desired; Understanding of renewable energy markets and technology; Strong communication skills both written and verbal; Self-motivated team player, with the ability use initiative; and To be eligible for consideration all applicants must be an Australian Citizen / Australian Permanent Resident / New Zealand Citizen or hold appropriate work rights to work in Australia and be willing to undertake the necessary pre-employment checks which may include a Medical and a National Police Check.
