An opportunity now exists for an early-career Business Development professional to join our Business Development team in Sydney or Melbourne.

The Business Development Coordinator (BDC) works as part of a portfolio team that provides business development advisory services and support, driving growth initiatives across the Practice Groups, key clients and strategic projects.

The BDC works in collaboration with senior members of the Business Development Team, Practice Group Leaders (PGLs), Client Relationship Partners (CRPs), members of the Communications team, Business Services, and Partners to execute business development and revenue initiatives, support growth and increase the firm's external profile.

The role

This fast-paced role requires a nimble mind, thoughtful approach and hands-on execution skills.

You will contribute to and/or be responsible for:
Key business development documents and materials including tenders, credentials and proposals;
Practice and key client growth strategy execution and delivery;
Delivery of events and client engagement opportunities;
Market research and insights impacting our clients and practice; and
Key matter content for use in tenders, credentials, league table and directory submissions.
Required skills and personal attributes
Proven technology skills that relate to a marketing environment
Strong proprietary attitude with a willingness to learn.
Demonstrated drive and initiative.
Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to be outcome oriented and deadline driven.
An ability to effectively manage 'big picture' issues.
Excellent inter-personal and persuasion skills.
Flexible, adaptable and able to juggle multiple projects.
Work well under pressure and be able to operate as part of a team.
Proven business writing skills, including tender writing.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to influence.
A professional and responsive approach to client service
Excellent attention to detail and follow up skills.
Required qualifications and preferred experience
Educated to degree level
Proven experience within a business development, sophisticated commercial or marketing role.
A Professional Services background is advantageous
