- Coordination of the drafting of the annual report, corporate plan, operational report, annual performance and portfolio budget statements.
- Reviewing performance measures for corporate reporting in line with the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act).
- Collecting information from multiple line areas and preparing briefs and reports for senior management and internal committees.
- Consulting and collaborating with staff from across the department, including providing guidance and assistance.
- Supervising staff (where required).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and a high attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to liaise with and build productive relationships with staff across the agency and with external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage projects and display good judgement.
- An understanding or ability to quickly gain an understanding of:
- The department's role in the Australian research landscape and the associated strategic direction and priorities of the agency.
- Governance practices and the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013.

OVERVIEW
Our Federal Government client is currently seeking an experienced Senior Governance Officer to join their team at the APS6 level. Within this role you will assist with a range of governance related activities, including the department's risk management framework, internal audit program, and secretariat support for governance and audit committees.
