Hudson is assisting a well regarded Australian Government Agency in seeking an experienced and qualified Governance and Reporting Officer as part of the Corporate Operations Branch.

Labour hire contract to December 2023 with good prospects for longer-term employment.

Hudson is assisting a well regarded Australian Government Agency in seeking an experienced and qualified Governance and Reporting Officer as part of the Corporate Operations Branch.

Labour hire contract up to December 2023 with good prospects for longer-term employment


You will be working within a lead national cancer control agency, working collaboratively within the sector including government departments, state and territory governments, peak bodies, service providers, researchers and clinical trial groups, the not-for-profit sector and Australians affected by cancer.


  • To achieve this goal, you will be responsible for:_
  • Preparing correspondence, submissions and briefing materials including Parliamentary Questions on Notice
  • Assisting with the coordination of the agency's public reporting requirements including the Annual Report and Senate Standing Orders
  • Providing high level secretariat support to senior executives
  • Preparing agenda papers, meeting notes and PowerPoint presentations
  • Developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Assisting in the development of strategic policy positions and advice including monitoring the health policy debate and emerging health issues
  • Strong written skills, including the ability to prepare highquality written material tailored to different audiences and ranging in content and complexity
  • High level knowledge, skills and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Sound communication and relationship management skills
  • Good analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to work within a team to meet deadlines and ensure work is delivered against objectives.
