The Commonwealth Games - an international, multi-sport event involving athletes from the 72 member nations of the Commonwealth - is coming to Victoria in 2026.

Millions worldwide will watch the thriving regional centres of Geelong, Bendigo, Ballarat, Gippsland and Shepparton host a jam-packed schedule of 20 sports, nine para sports, the Games ceremonies and festival program that together will showcase the best of Regional Victoria.

The Victoria 2026 Commonwealth Games Organising Committee (OC) will deliver the Games.

As a joint venture between the State of Victoria, the Commonwealth Games Federation and Commonwealth Games Australia, it is tasked with organising a world-class event for athletes, spectators, locals and the Commonwealth of Nations.

About the Role

The Executive Assistant role will provide high quality secretarial and administrative support to two Chief level executives within the Victoria 2026 Commonwealth Organising Committee, and other senior leaders with planning and implementing priorities and deliverables.

The role requires a proactive self-starter with strong skills in communication, organisation and planning, teamwork and stakeholder relations. The ability to work with limited supervision in a complex, sensitive and fast paced environment is essential.

The successful applicant will work effectively as a member of a team, and will undertake a wide variety of work across the Organising Committee.

This role sits within Victoria 2026 Pty Ltd, a government-owned entity.

This role will be regionally based and the incumbent will be expected to work from one of the four regional office locations.
