Program Support Officer (Special Projects) - Priority Jobs Project

  • Salary: $90,067 $102,192 (Plus Superannuation)
  • Fixed term until 30 June 202
  • Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)
  • Usual work location: Morwell (flexibility may be available)
Who We Are

The Latrobe Valley Authority (LVA) was created to drive the strategic vision and priorities of government investment to improve outcomes for the Latrobe Valley community and ensure the social, economic and environmental future of the region is secured.

The LVA has adopted a place-based approach involving the community, business sector, education/research institutions and government to identify and agree on local opportunities and priorities.

This will assist the region to both transition and transform.
The Role

The LVA Skills and Workforce Transition Program Support Officer (Special Projects) is responsible for providing high quality administrative support across a range of LVA work streams and project teams.

Working within and across LVA teams, duties will vary depending upon prevailing office or team priorities. The position requires an ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with all internal and external stakeholders.

The primary focus of the role is to support the LVA Skills and Workforce Transition Team with specialist, case managed, employment and training related project delivery.

The position will also support the LVA regional strengths teams with support as needed and assist with the delivery of stakeholder engagement activity as requested by the relevant LVA Director.

Skills and Workforce Transition Team members are also expected to support office operations during times of peak activity and through agreed works rosters.


Ideally you will have the following skills or experience:

  • Experience in relevant business administration or a related qualification would be highly regarded
  • High level experience/skills in the use of the Microsoft suite of programs. Experience with or a capability to learn electronic finance (Oracle), grants management (GEMS), records management (Content Manager) and other online management systems would be desirable.
  • Client case management experience particularly in an employment context is preferred.
