    About the role
    Reporting to the Associate Director, Strategic Communications, and leading a small team of communication specialists, the Strategic Communications Lead is responsible for developing and implementing integrated communication and stakeholder engagement strategies and plans that are designed to support the strategic objectives of the faculties of Arts, Fine Arts and Music. The role includes designing and delivering internal and external communications via a multi-channel approach to media and publicity, content, digital platforms and events. A trusted strategic advisor to the leaders within relevant academic divisions on best practice communications and stakeholder engagement, the appointee will manage reputation and communication risks, drive an integrated approach to internal communication while proactively identifying content opportunities. The role will develop communications materials, manage integrated planning and execution of content across all communication channels, at faculty and institutional level, and engage and encourage internal stakeholders to leverage best practice initiatives and content.

    About you
    You are a proven communications executive with experience in the provision of strategic communications advice and senior executive support in large, complex organisations. A connection to the humanities, social sciences, fine arts or cultural sector is preferred. Critical to this role will be your ability to develop a deep understanding of relevant audiences and stakeholders, as well as work collaboratively across the faculties and the University to build effective relationships at all levels. Outstanding skills in verbal and written communications, team leadership and an ability to demonstrate comprehensive understanding of managing stakeholders, issues and reputation, will see you succeed in this exciting and impactful role.
