    ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT – RICHLANDS

    About the Position

    ALS are seeking expressions of Interest for a Full-Time Administration Assistant to work at a Research Laboratory. If you have a drive to produce quality work and a strong team spirit, we would like to hear from you. Reporting to the Site Administrator, this position also involves a functional relationship to Branch Managers and staff.

    Key Responsibilities
  • Working 5 days – 8 hours per day (flexible starting & finishing times)
  • Data entry – Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
  • Basic book-keeping knowledge
  • Pronto (accounting software) experience would be advantage but not a necessity
  • Onboarding of new employees
  • Other duties related to administration as directed
  • This is an autonomous role
  • Time Management Skills, high attention to detail and time management skills are required
  • Quality Responsibilities
  • Comply with ALS Policies and Procedures
  • Operate in accordance with the ALS Code of Conduct
  • To report any breaches to the above points to Management
  • To execute the duties described in this document to the best of your ability and in the best interests of the company
  • Ensure that filed records are kept in the correct manner with regards to privacy legislation and for the minimum period specified
  • Health and Safety Environmental Responsibilities
  • To comply with the Company's HSE Policies
  • To comply with the Company's Safety & Environmental requirements as set out in the safety manual
  • To notify and/or rectify any unsafe practice acknowledged by any personnel
  • To ensure that storage of files & documents do not create fire hazards
  • To ensure that access paths are kept clear of obstacles restricting traffic
  • Ensuring the workplace is kept clean and tidy
  • Essential Skills, Experience & Knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong grammatical ability
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills with particular emphasis on Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work under pressure with strong organizational skills
  • At least 2-3 years in an office environment
  • Accurate and timely data entry
  • Training will be provided to the successful candidate.
    The successful applicant must be proactive, highly motivated and be able to demonstrate that they work will in a multi-skilled environment with attention to detail.
    As part of the selection process, a pre-employment medical exam will be required; including a drug and alcohol assessment.
