    Floor Planning Lead

    • The Opportunity

    Working within the Macro Space and Format Innovation team, this role is responsible for delivering successful renewal & new store programs and strategic initiative based activities, This role will be required to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders Buying, MCV, 360,) to deliver commercial best outcomes for our stores and customers.

    Success in this role will require a curious nature and the ability to take data and translate it into a floor plan. Following strict flows, adjacencies and standards, while ensuring the customers are always at the heart of what we do. You will also require exceptional people management skills, focused on coaching and development.

    You will be part of an exciting journey as we deliver meaningful value and freshest fresh to all our customers, tailored by Value/Core/Up and for multicultural communities.

    Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Governance of floor plans to ensure maximum return on space is achieved through the use of data
  • Estimating the workload attributed to the project and planning out how it will be delivered
  • The successful delivery of the program of works, on time and with zero defects.
  • Delivering regular updates back to the leadership team on the status of the projects and highlighting any risks
  • Act as the Macro Space nominated engagement lead on key business projects – including program scheduling and strategic projects.
  • Support Floor Planning Manager to influence the decision making of Stakeholders to align with VCU Blueprints, floor planning principles and Macro space analysis.
  • Leading, coaching and developing direct reports
  • Influence decision making and development planning for future JDA Floor Planning enhancement
  • Effective prioritisation of capacity planning of squad workload
  • Drive continuous improvements in the floor planning processes contributing to smarter ways of working.
  • Build efficient and effective Floor plans which deliver space optimisation aligned to business principles; influence Floor Planners to deliver consistently high quality outputs
  • Manage day to day relationships and Macro Space support with State Planning, Operations, Commercial and Micro Space teams

  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to think creatively
  • Experience in the Retail industry, especially in Range & Space related roles
  • Experience in Blue Yonder applications - desirable
