Planning and delivery of large modernisation transformation program

- $250k to $270k+S +bonus

Head of Delivery and Planning - Financial Services

Our client, a leading financial services business, is seeking a Head of Delivery and Planning to join their team.

This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects and programs across the business.

Experience required

Experience leading the planning & delivery phases of large transformation programs in other large FS businesses or telco's with accountability falling to you.
Have delivered multiple $100M + programs within large businesses
Consultant, advisory, executive management or director background. (not clevel)
Background in business modernisation transformation

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive delivery and planning strategy to ensure successful project outcomes, including risk management, resource allocation, and stakeholder engagement
Lead a team of project managers and delivery specialists, providing coaching, mentoring, and guidance to drive highperformance and career development
Collaborate closely with business leaders to understand their priorities and ensure delivery aligns with strategic objectives
Define and implement project governance frameworks to ensure effective decisionmaking, risk management, and control across the project portfolio
Continuously review and improve delivery processes and methodologies, ensuring they are fit for purpose and promote a culture of continuous improvement
Advisory and engagement position with no direct reports but the use of business & project teams to deliver once planning phase completed
Develop strong relationships with external partners and vendors to ensure the successful delivery of outsourced projects

Requirements:

A minimum of 10 years experience in a delivery and planning leadership role within a financial services business, with a proven track record of successful project delivery of large multifaceted programs totalling $100M+
Experience leading the planning & delivery phases of large transformation programs in other large FS businesses or telcos
Strong leadership skills, with a track record of developing and leading highperforming teams
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
A strategic mindset, with the ability to develop and execute on longterm delivery and planning strategies
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, with experience implementing effective project governance frameworks
Experience working with external vendors and partners to deliver complex projects
