About the role


The Workforce Strategy & Planning Lead manages and coordinates the development, implementation and evaluation of complex strategies and projects to achieve specific outcomes; and supports the achievement of organisational objectives.

The role develops effective processes, systems and tools that support prioritisation and implementation of strategic work across the business unit.


Essential requirement

  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

Key knowledge and experience

  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

About you

  • You will be collaborative, agile, and disciplined about delivering outcomes for all students of NSW
  • You are excited by challenges and thrive working in an environment where you can problem solve for your clients and recommend innovative strategies that you know will make a difference
  • You are a seasoned project management strategist with previous experience managing projects, conducting research, analysing and reviewing complex workforce strategies and policy issues
  • You have a natural ability to build and maintain strong relationships with your stakeholders both internal and external
  • You are confident navigating multiple platforms as well as consulting in order to identify and design fit for purpose strategies that are responsive to the attainment of School Workforce objectives
