    Are you passionate about the tourism and events industry? We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Events Coordinator to join our busy Business Events Sales department, based in our St Leonards Office.

    About The Role

    This key and multi-faceted role provides administrative support for the development and maintenance of our meetings, incentives, conferences and events (MICE). You'll prepare quotes and contracts, maintain efficient tracing and filing systems, manage our database, adhere to budgets and assist with reporting and audits.

    You'll also get involved in the fun stuff, like assisting with marketing initiatives, (brochure copy, eDMs, website) and liaise with our online team to maintain our Facebook and Instagram pages.

    • 120+ business events per year
    • Administration duties including answering phone calls, emails (including the Director, Business Events Sales and Business Development Manager (when out of the office), filing and general sales support to Business Events department
    • Liaise with conference organisers, travel agents, direct clients and internal departments
    • Assist in the coordination of familiarisations and site inspections for clients and ensure appropriate follow-up is conducted; this would require formulating itineraries and designating appropriate on island hosts
    • Prepare and follow up trade shows and other travel industry events in the conference and incentive market
    • Attend trade shows and client and industry functions
    • Maintain client database, monitor sales activity and prepare reports as required

    You will also have:

    • Higher School Certificate or equivalent (Essential)
    • Minimum one year similar experience in conference, special event or MICE industry (Desirable )
    • Must be proficient in all aspects of Excel and Microsoft Word (Essential)
    • Knowledge of Amadeus/Salesforce, IDeas Revenue Software (Desirable)
    • Excellent personal presentation, communication and inter-personal skills
    • Ability to work as part of a passionate and professional team
    • High attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple tasks
    • Must be prepared to work outside of hours when necessary at events, Trade Shows, famils
