The Home and Residential Division is responsible for providing aged care to older Australians in the setting that suits their needs and preferences.

It is responsible for the reform work to improve aged care services at home and in residential care.


This includes:
the design, development, and implementation to establish a single support at home program which will replace the Commonwealth Home Support Programme, Home Care Packages, Short Term Restorative Care and Residential Respite referrals
Management of the Australian National Aged Care Classification (AN-ACC) funding model for residential care
commissioning a new single assessment workforce
development, implementation, and the management of efficient, effective, and sustainable funding programs for home and residential care
data and analysis to support evidence-based decisions and policies. Branch Responsibilities

The Support at Home Reform Branch is responsible for the design of a new Support at Home Program to replace the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), Home Care Package Program (HCP), Short-Term Restorative Care and residential respite service referrals; and designing and implementing a new Single Assessment System.

This includes policy development, managing budget processes, developing an underpinning Assessment, Classification and Funding (ACF) model, consumer and provider research activities, stakeholder consultation and management, and overarching project management.

Section Responsibilities

The Support at Home Implementation section is designing, planning, and managing the activities and tasks required to transition from the current aged care model to the support at home model.

Key items of work include stakeholder, change, and transition management, training and education, communications, internal and external engagements, IT release management support, data transition stream managing changes with internal and external stakeholders, data migration and mapping, documentation and content development, human resource and financial management and branch corporate support.

Role Description

We are looking for an APS4 equivalent Administrative Support Officer to join the Support at Home Implementation Section, working with the Data Project Team.

Successful applicant will have strong interpersonal and organisation skills as well as very good communication skills.

They will be required to undertake a variety of tasks including project support maintaining registers, calendars and logs; secretariat support for internal and external stakeholder engagements, drafting material and assisting with the inbox.

Prior experience in an administrative support role would be a benefit as the position is in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Ability to work collaboratively with a range of delivery partners and stakeholders to deliver effective outcomes.
Support engagement with internal and external stakeholders.

Secretariat support to assist in progressing effective outcomes including booking meetings, taking notes, following up on action items, recording meeting outcomes and tracking progress on documents.

Maintaining a master calendar with key IT milestones and deliverable dates
Drafting of other written communications ie reports, correspondence, briefs etc
Work collaboratively with the section, branch, and other stakeholders
Undertake relevant activities to support delivery of project outcomes as required Key Capabilities
Good verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders over the phone, face to face, or at meetings
Proven organisational and time management skills, including the ability to manage peak workloads and deliver within tight timeframes
Ability to develop and foster strong interpersonal relationships with all stakeholders.
Ability to use a range of software including word, excel, powerpoint, outlook
Good written communication skills
Ability to work with mínimal direction and in a team setting on work that is moderately complex.
