An applicants suitability for employment with Health will also be assessed through a variety of pre-employment check processes, such as:

Satisfactory completion of an Australian Federal Police criminal history check and where relevant, a Working with Children and Vulnerable People Check.

Baseline security clearance preferred

Division Responsibilities

The Home and Residential Division is responsible for providing aged care to older Australians in the setting that suits their needs and preferences.

It is responsible for the reform work to improve aged care services at home and in residential care.


This includes:
the design, development, and implementation to establish a single support at home program which will replace the Commonwealth Home Support Programme, Home Care Packages, Short Term Restorative Care and Residential Respite referrals
Management of the Australian National Aged Care Classification (AN-ACC) funding model for residential care
commissioning a new single assessment workforce
development, implementation, and the management of efficient, effective, and sustainable funding programs for home and residential care
data and analysis to support evidence-based decisions and policies.
Branch Responsibilities

The Support at Home Reform Branch is responsible for the design of a new Support at Home Program to replace the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), Home Care Package Program (HCP), Short-Term Restorative Care and residential respite service referrals; and designing and implementing a new Single Assessment System.

This includes policy development, managing budget processes, developing an underpinning Assessment, Classification and Funding (ACF) model, consumer and provider research activities, stakeholder consultation and management, and overarching project management.

Section Responsibilities

The Support at Home Implementation section is designing, planning, and managing the activities and tasks required to transition from the current aged care model to the support at home model.

Key items of work include stakeholder, change, and transition management, training and education, communications, internal and external engagements, IT release management support, data transition stream managing changes with internal and external stakeholders, data migration and mapping, documentation and content development, human resource and financial management and branch corporate support.

Role Description

We are looking for multiple APS4 equivalent Data Remediation Support Officers and APS5 equivalent Data Remediation Officer to join the Section.

Successful applicants will be required to investigate and remediate large numbers of aged care provider and client records in an Oracle based system and assist with creating training data in a dedicated environment.

Please note this is NOT a data analyst position. Full training will be provided to enable the successful applicants to complete their tasks. The position is in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work on highly repetitive tasks

Knowledge or prior experience with Oracle based platforms or previously worked in My Aged Care would be an asset but training will be provided to the successful applicant.

Proven organisational and time management skills, including the ability to manage peak workloads and deliver within tight timeframes
Ability to work collaboratively with a range of delivery partners and stakeholders to deliver effective outcomes.
High level experience with a range of software including excel, word and outlook
Strong written and verbal communication skills; including ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders over the phone, face to face or at meetings on complex matters
Ability to develop and foster strong interpersonal relationships with all stakeholders.
Show initiative and the ability to work independently, with limited supervision within a team environment
Key Responsibilities
Investigation and remediation of complex Aged Care Service Provider records and client records in an Oracle based system
Assisting a data team with enquiries related to data remediation activities
Support engagements and work collaboratively with the section, branch, and other internal and stakeholders;
Identifying and documenting data required for a dedicated training environment
Additional administrative functions as require
