Your next exciting job opportunity –

Reporting to the Financial Controller the Assistant Accountant is responsible for assisting in the preparation the Financial and Management Reports with a larger focus on the day-to-day transactions and ensuring the information is accurate and compliant with the relevant accounting and taxation standards. We are in a building phase with our Finance function, we have created a dynamic and collaborative environment and are now looking for someone to continue designing innovative ways of working and help shape our team.

In this role you will be able to:

Assist the Financial Controller and Financial Accountant in their tasks and deliverables related to month end processing, reporting, reconciliations, taxation and compliance.
Reconcile the bank account by receipting customer's payments and ensuring supplier payments are processed.
Assist the Financial Accountant and Accounts Payable Lead by ensuring all invoices are correctly approved, allocated and entered.
Assist the Financial Controller in ensuring the company has sufficient working capital by chasing overdue payments and reviewing client accounts against credit limits.

Relevant Education, Experience, and Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or near completion
Minimum 2-3 years experience in a finance role
Good foundational experience in Accounts Payable.
Strong Communication skills and highly organized
Ability to deal with problematic clients
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Demonstrated ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.
