Position Overview
This is a
permanent and full-time position.

The Accounts Assistant at CardioScan plays a vital role in supporting the Global Finance Team's operations by managing various financial tasks, including billing, claims processing, accounts receivable, and other related responsibilities.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the Accounts Assistant will ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions and processes while upholding CardioScan's commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

Billing and Invoicing

  • Issue monthend invoices and midmonth invoices for customers along with supporting documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness of billing data.
  • Respond to requests from Sales and Administration teams to issue adhoc invoices.

Claims Processing

  • Import and validate data for procedures claimable from Medicare and Health Funds.
  • Lodge claims for claimable procedures with Medicare and Health Funds.
  • Review errors during the claim process and follow up with customers to rectify any discrepancies.
  • Track and maintain the endtoend status of claimable tests, ensuring timely processing and payment.

AR and Collections

  • Compile Accounts Receivable (AR) reporting to track outstanding balances.

Other

  • Assist in preparing documentation for equipment financing to support sales activities and financial transactions.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline financial processes and improve overall efficiency.
  • Undertake adhoc tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Financial Controller.

Key Skills & Attributes

  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Ability to take initiative, investigate, and resolve issues.
  • Ability to work crossculturally and under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Key Qualifications

  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in bookkeeping or accounting; accounting degree will be an asset.
  • Relevant work experience, including internships or school project will be an asset.
