ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Senior Internal Auditor (Level 6)This role is responsible for conducting internal audit and consulting engagements using a risk-based approach in alignment with approved standards.
This role supports the Director Risk and Governance in managing outsourced audit services and liaising with external bodies.REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCEGovernance & Performance ManagementProvides advice on compliance, performance, and financial auditing strategies.
Conducts audits from planning to reporting, ensuring adherence to standards.
Maintains relationships with stakeholders and ensures implementation of audit recommendations.
Supports reporting to Audit and Risk Committees.
Assists in developing assurance frameworks and improving audit practices.
Education and DevelopmentAssists in staff education on governance, risk, and internal controls.
Management & LiaisonCollaborates with risk management for alignment.
Supports initiatives for process improvement.
Ensures efficient delivery of projects and staff development.
Supports strengthening of audit capability.
Assists in budget monitoring and reporting.
