    Warehouse Infrastructure Support Engineer

    Milestone is currently working with this large warehouse who is seeking a talented Warehouse Infrastructure Support Engineer to join the team and play a crucial role in incident management and service delivery.

    Job Description: As a Warehouse Infrastructure Support Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and reliability of our warehouse infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, IT, and Facilities, to provide technical support, incident management, and service delivery for our warehouse operations. Your expertise and attention to detail will be instrumental in maintaining optimal warehouse productivity.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide hands-on technical support for warehouse infrastructure systems, including but not limited to material handling equipment, conveyors, automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), robotics, and related software applications.
    • Respond promptly to incidents, troubleshoot technical issues, and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to implement preventive maintenance programs, ensuring equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
    • Coordinate with vendors for equipment repairs, upgrades, and warranty claims, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient resolution of issues.
    • Develop and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintenance schedules, and incident reports.
    • Assist in the design and implementation of improvements and optimizations for warehouse infrastructure systems.
    • Participate in disaster recovery planning and execute recovery procedures as needed.
    • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices related to warehouse infrastructure technology.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
    • Strong experience in supporting warehouse infrastructure systems
    • Solid understanding of incident management processes and service delivery methodologies.
    • Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to warehouse infrastructure.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and familiarity with relevant safety regulations.
    • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and warehouse control systems (WCS) is a plus.
    • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
