    Description

    Get ready to dive into the finance world at our startup As the finance wizard covering FP&A, controllership, and governance, you'll thrive in our agile, process-light environment. You'll start by leading our finance team, reporting to the CEO initially and later to our Chief Commercial Officer upon return from maternity leave. With a focus on FP&A, you'll be the numbers guru keeping things sharp.

    Your day-to-day will be anything but routine. You can start the day on a customer call working on commercial pricing models and end the day posting journals to help with the month-end cram. This is an all encompassing role that is critical to support Zipline operationally and strategically.

    Key responsibilities

    #1 Priority: Cash Management and Forecasting

    • Ensure robust cash management and forecasting to support critical business decisions and maintain a healthy cash balance.
    • Collaborate with the CEO/Founder on strategic decisions like hiring, leveraging financial insights.
    • Lead the (small) finance team to ensure accurate month-end procedures and support in generating key metrics such as ARR, LTV, and CAC.
    • Act as a key finance business partner to the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to setting KPIs and targets across GTM & Product.

    #3 Priority: Governance and Compliance

    • Maintain governance and compliance standards, including managing the team ESOP and preparing for board meetings.
    • Coordinate with various teams for tax compliance and other regulatory requirements.

    About you:

    • You have 3-5 years of experience working in the finance world
    • Proven expertise in cash management and forecasting, demonstrating a track record of financial stability and strategic planning
    • Possess strong analytical capabilities coupled with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and reliability in financial assessments.
    • A pragmatic planner who focuses on outcomes, favouring simplicity and efficiency without unnecessary complexity.
    • Highly dependable and efficient in execution, taking ownership of tasks and delivering results promptly without the need for follow-up
