    Director of Sales & Marketing | 6 months Fixed TermDirector of Sales & Marketing – 6 month fixed term contract

    Nestled on the illustrious Collins Street, within the vibrant heart of Melbourne's Central Business District, the Intercontinental Melbourne the Rialto is a symbol of heritage elegance and contemporary sophistication.

    Esteemed as one of the city's paramount hotels of international renown, it stands as a testament to luxurious hospitality.
    You will be joining a high performing team committed to re-energising and re-positioning the hotel as a market leader.

    The role of Director of Sales & Marketing is envisioned as a visionary leader, orchestrating a symphony of sales, marketing, and revenue management talents to forge a pioneering commercial strategy.

    This strategy, marked by its innovation, is aimed at securing a legacy of surpassing market benchmarks in Revenue Generation Index performance, while also enhancing stakeholder value and distinctly defining the hotel's brand essence.

    Central to this role is the cultivation of an entrepreneurial spirit focused on revenue maximization and strategic market positioning, which boldly diverges from traditional paths and champions creativity and innovation.

    Thus, solid experience in the disciplines of marketing as a precursor to proactive and reactive strategic sale experience bolstered by strong revenue management skills is required.

    You will be cultivating pivotal connections with industry leaders, external partners, and regional teams at IHG to ensure strategic coherence and nurture cooperative efforts.

    What we need from you
    We are in pursuit of an individual with senior Sales and Marketing leadership experience within the international luxury domains.
    The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional commercial savvy, with a track record of propelling profitability and enhancing brand experience.
    Demonstrated expertise in cultivating high-calibre relationships, nurturing an action-oriented culture, and attaining noteworthy outcomes is paramount.
    Proficiency in analytical reasoning, strategic foresight, and adeptness in dissecting market trends and orchestrating media strategies are crucial.
    Experience in managing channel and trade marketing, astute allocation of resources, and fiscal oversight is a must.
